Q:  How can I purchase the pretty things La Tienda makes?

A:  In addition to our online store many items are distributed through the “home party” model, where an individual hosts a party and invites friends - it’s like tupperware except way cooler!  You can keep your eyes open for a party in your area or perhaps you would consider hosting one by inquiring through the contact form on this site.  The items are also available through a few retail stores and through a great coffeehouse: Dominican Joe’s in Austin, Texas, USA.

Q:  What happens with the money from my La Tienda purchases?

A:  Money from the La Tienda sales are used to support the artisans who created the items and their community.  This can be everything from basic needs to food, healthcare, or education.  We attempt to stand by the artisans by providing better tools and equipment or access to funding for future projects. 

Q:  Can I come and volunteer with La Tienda?

A:  We are not set up to host short term teams or individuals, if are are interested in volunteering for 2 years or longer and are fluent in Spanish or Creole please contact us through the form on the contact page.
